The Merced river image is just great. Lovely colors, nice color balance, good exposure. My only critique is compositional. Lower the river-horizon to 1/3 from the bottom, get more of those "blue" glacial rock faces in the background and it would be perfect! Now, it's just nearly perfect. Woman walking among trees. Some problems with blown highlights, obviously caused by the shadows in the trees. If you are using a G1, then always expose for the highlights as there's more detail in them shadows than you can ever detect on the LCD, or even imagine. But my biggest concern is that her head "merges" with the trees. If you had moved say 10ft to your left, you could have framed her in the opening of the trees we see to her right. But this picture is full of fun and energy, she looks happy and carefree. It's great! thanks for sharing, and asking for comments/critique. cheers, |
