My copy arrives tomorrow and I'm pretty excited. I think we need to start a thread on this?

Well more like "high shadow" I guess...
Low light to me as in I shot is at low iso and typically wouldn't have been able to.
The major thing I'm looking forward to with this lens is staying away from the 7d noise.

I don't know how fast this lens focuses, but I hope that it works well for indoor gymnasium sports. Looking forward to shooting ISo1600 with a faster shutter speed.

Absolutely. I'm shooting both bodies and this lens is a welcome addition. If it is better than expected - I might even sell or trade the 16-35.

Isn't this lens APS-C only....hence the 'DC'?

From another thread. http://www.fredmiranda.com …d=sigma,18-35,on#11668967 (external link)

People are putting it on their FF bodies and getting good results (at the 35mm end).

I'm really not sure what's going on with B&H - I pre-ordered the lens the week after it came online. Initially said "shipping July 31st" - then a few days went by and it changed to "shipping July 22nd."
...I'm on Vacation and I get an email on July 1st saying it had shipped - arrived July 5th yet their website still says "pre-order"

I felt lucky regardless - I'm insanely impatient
