Love this lens! Unfortunately I haven't been shooting as much as in the last couple years or so :(

Great hike at Angel's Rest. My daughter's mother came to visit for a few days for her birthday. The 'haze' you see in the background is smoke from wildfires from Vancouver B.C.

Recently Purchased this lens. Took a few pictures of my car. Any pointers when using this lens?

Nice!
at f/1,8, I would hold my breath, let out half and squeeze the shutter button for consecutive 3 shots.
In addition, I try not to focus, recompose and shoot....
 :p

Assuming the AF is spot on, you can shoot it wide open all the time. I find it the lens has excellent edge and corner sharpness that you can literally take group photos and you would see not any OOF area...as long as the subjects are in the same focal plane as the senor. Shoot it like any other zooms except that you can shoot it wide open all the time...because it is crazy sharp...hehehehhe.......

Spent Sat and Sun shooting our local supercross race. Putting the Sigma 18-35 to its pace in its somewhat extreme condition. Cold, windy, and raining. I have a rain sleeve on my rig. Everything was fine. Unfortunately, the zoom ring gets stiffer since it is already stiff or dampened. LOL. It gets slower to turn as I was trying to adjust the zoom as riders getting closer to me. The AF accuracy is phenomenal shooting at F2!!!. 97% keeper rate?? :)

Hey, how about shooting the lens in film and in a film body.... Is definitely doable. Vignetting is ever present but not so noticeable from 24mm to 35mm. Since I don't have any FF lens and wanting to keep my Nikon N90s film body and continuing to shoot in film, I tried to see which of my crop lenses would work. Unfortunately, my Sigma is front focusing and AF is off on the N90s. I could only manually focus the shots.

F2.
