Is it a Heron of a sort ?, nicely capturet with the bluret wings.

female anhinga. the males have an elaborate black-and-white pattern on the backs of their wings (see>>>this<<< and the females have a small subtle pattern, which you can see along the front of the wing on top in your photo.

This shot was taken before the first one, through a window of a clubhouse where I was eating lunch.

definitely anhinga,good capture on the in flight.all the ones i seen down there was just standing around drying their wings

This one too was just standing as you see in the second photo. After I took that shot, I finished eating and went outside. As I came into the bird's view, as it was lower than was I, it took off. I guess I scared it.
