Thanks for hosting this week Tommy! Totally agree on 'results'... We don't have any theme/amusement parks around us so had to swipe my shot off the internet :) Love Gerards seaworld image, very well done! Also rpolitsr's 'roaring to the sky' is super!! Little swingers by marie is great seeing the emotion on the children's faces, although I felt sorry for the one little girl all by herself. & northants nin I liked the 'motion blur' :)

Congratulations, GMHY, marie and all who participated in the challenge.

I love many thing on the winning picture. The bottom framed by a mass of almost 'solid' water, the faint fog passing all the detail of the boat and their merry passengers, the splashes that hide the background.

Mine was as Tommydigi said, just sharp with only one young lady raisig her arms and a moderately happy kid in yellow shirt.

I like marie's capture too. A lovely and colorful worm full of happy kids. As Cheryl noted, a typical contrast in marie's photos is, in this one, the serious, almost sad and lonely young lady of the last car.A great capture even counting the slight blur in it. I thought the second place was for marie because of the human content.

I felt myself a bit like Cheryl again. I went to the largest park in my city, but it is really a small one placed there mainly to attract people to the cable cars that climb the mountain.

Nice challenge, I hoped for more entries though. Thanks for judging and for being in the winners list, Tommydigi

Thank you Tommy.
For this challenge I had to search my hard drive; I chose that one from a trip to San Antonio last year.
The original picture is as below; for the challenge I decided to crop in tight, it seemed stronger that way.
Congratulations to the runner ups (Marie I like this little girl as well :)).
I will soon post the next challenge.

Congrats Gerard, Rafael and Marie. All very nice shots!
I really like how the ride in Gerard's photo just seems to be floating above the water.
Rafael (as well as northants) captured perfectly why I don't ride those rides anymore :-
I mirror Cheryl's thoughts on Marie's photo. So colorful. And they look like they're having a blast.

As for my photo (or lack thereof), I had nothing. No theme parks or fairs here this time of year. And nothing in the "photo pantry" I hadn't used before.
Next time..... :-)

Congrats Gerard!! Fabulous photo!

I didn't take part because I don't have a theme park close by and I hadn't any suitable photos in my G camera archives either...
