A tarmac rally held on the old Goodwood circuit. Gave me some practice shooting cars again after the "off season". I don't do rallies often... a couple more this month though! The weather was dull so don't expect super-contrasty images and I refuse to photoshop things to death!
#1 Just to prove that I CAN do pan shots... enjoy, you won't see many from me. 10D and the EF 70-200mm f/4L. ![]() #2 Paddock shot... 1D Mark II and the Tamron 28-75mm deputising for the EF 24-105mm f/4L which is away being "de-flared". ![]() #3 A PROPER rally car.... 1D and Sigma 120-300mm ![]() #4 Escort MkII... 1D and Sigma 500mm ![]() #5 #6 & #7 A little sequence - 1D and Sigma 500mm. Single shot, I don't do spray and pray. ![]() ![]() ![]() #8 Another proper rally car - an Escort Mk I this time, again with the 1D and the Sigma 500mm ![]() Full gallery of the day is here http://gallery.ukmotorsportpics.com/c850234.html Thanks for looking! |

Great series all around Glenn. Nice captures of the tire barrier impact. Yes indeed, you can swing the camera
<edit> I see it now. It is a deformed mud flap. ........ Duh

Not even close. It's a Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam. They won the World Rally Championship with the Lotus engined variant in 1981. |

Nice work Glenn. You got a better sequence of the tire crash than myself! Great work in the gallery as well.
Cheers, Steve

Fabulous colours for a dull day Glenn. Not so sure about the wing on the back of the Sunbeam though. Nice sequence on the Impreza.
Cheers, Simon. |
