I love any lab shots! He does seem to be looking at the camera with extreme interest - new play toy?

You bet! We met first time that day (last Saturday) - and he was utterly interested of everything we were doing, including my camera ;)

LOL, I noticed the hand holding him back - that happens in alot of my pictures - my arm is usually around Diesel's neck to get a good shot.

Looks to me like he's saying "What you pointing that thing at me for?" - lovely shot - I do have a soft spot for dog pics (as my Avatar suggests!)

A lovely dog - and a very nice photo which is particularly well exposed and detailed bearing in mind the difficulty of photographing an all black subject.

I find the background distracting - how about a portrait with an uncluttered setting - a difficult proposition as I know only too well, but worth trying for!!

Thanks colliewalker1! - take the challenge ;) Here is quick-and-dirty try to extract lab from the background. Any better? (Oh, yes I know, I did not a good work with the whiskers :( )

Good looking animal. I like the first image -- good bokeh, looks natural.

Love the first one. Even though I am a sucker for a Black Lab. I have seen that expression through the lens a million times. Like, "Daddy, what is that thing you are always pointing at me and why does it make everything really bright sometimes?"
