The worlds most famous steam locomotive "Flying Scotsman" passing Settle with the inaugural steam excursion on the newly reopened Settle to Carlisle line.

Only a few months after receiving full certification new build loco 60163 "Tornado" shows off her 6' 8" driving wheels as she powers away from York in 2009.

Ais Gill is a few miles south of Kirkby Stephen, can be accessed from the B6259 which runs from KS to Garsdale Head. There's a steam special on the line on April 22nd though I don't know the timings yet. Don't know if you are aware of this site for details of steam specials:
