From rally Norway today. Unforunately I ran out of batteries (-10 deg C) so this is the only usable picture I got.
The winner: Henning Solberg with codriver Cato Menkerud:

good detail in the snow, you got the exposure right on. Attractive light and nice contrast with the looming forest in the BG.

Hey Panza,
You got me all excited...thought you got some shots of the Olympics and the cross-country skier that took silver after starting off 75th in the pack!!
I am half Norwegian, my dad is from Alesund. I was there 2 years ago this March..and planning a trip back in a couple years..this time in the summer!
Great picture by the way..love the contrast of the color of the car to the scene!

Very nice shot. Too bad you can't tap into that on-car cam! :)

PS: Next time, charge your batteries before you leave the house! :p

Thanks everyone. It took a while to find the right spot for that shot. I went from place to place but the background was alway full of marker-tape, people and other stuff that cluttered up the picture. Finally saw this.... no other photograper even saw the picture I think :)
I feel the background is 90% of a rally picture. A good picture of a car in motion is no problem to get, but that will be just like all the other newspaper shots, which is not what I am after.

That's a really nice shot - a real shame you couldn't get any more.
