Superb set of photos. Weren't you a little nervous that they could turn on you, as these animals can do a lot of damage to someone.

Not really. I was in a small group with a professional bear guide. The bears are used to people and they're too busy fishing or clamming to take much notice.

(AFAIK polar bears are the only animals that look at humans as food. All the others would only turn on someone if provoked or if they felt threatened).
