Default 55-135 f2.8 ef-s lens?

Do you think Canon might release a longer lens as a complement to the 17-55 f2.8 lens?

It is a focal length that is underrepresented, but can still be fun.

Totally hypothetical question.

10-22
17-55
40-135 ? perhaps?

Would be cool. Could go from 17-400 in three lenses. 17-55, new lens, 100-400L. Pretty sweet.
