How would you compare it to SEL50f1.8 ? Obviously I expect it to be better, but is it a "night and day" better ?

Just picked this up. Quick shot of the preggy wife. Nothing special, but I'm digging the way this thing renders for portraits. Nice and sharp wide open (actually had to soften the image a bit), but doesn't have the harsh rendering of skin tones that the Sigma 35 and 50 tend to have.

Nice. Isn't putting the FE 55 on the A6000 like shooting with an 82.5mm lens on the a7r? Without the same resolution of course. I believe the crop factor is 1.5 on the A6000?

It's a nice combination regardless.

Thanks Gene. Yes it's equivalent to an 85mm lens on the 1.5x crop factor at 24MP. Nice file size with good detail.

Terrific shots Alfredo. It looks like focus speed isn't an issue with your a6000 (just a little motion blur on the last one. :lol: )
