I've used the 50mm f/1.8 II, the 50mm f/1.8 STM, the 50mm f/1.4 and the 50mm f/1.2L, and briefly the 50mm f/1.4 Sigma Art. Maybe it's the autofocus accuracy or the dynamic range on Nikon+Sony exmor. I'm not sure why I like it so much so far. Again, only initial impressions. Anyone else use this lens and can compare their experience with Canon's 50's? 1DXII(2) | 5D4 | D850 | 8-800mm
