Witnessed a wildfire in the Assynt area of the Scottish Highlands yesterday. Managed to get a couple of shots of it as it worked up the entire side of the mountain Suilven.

Not quite sure. But I've seen it driven around and dropping people off, which makes me wonder if the driver/owner moonlights for Uber. :-D

There's an eagle's nest in Skagit county (WA) that we've been watching for a few years. I went there yesterday to see what was going on. Lighting is always bad (shooting south).

The two eagles were perched on trees that were about half way between me and their nest. The eagle on the left had caught a bird and was feeding on it. The eagle on the right just watched.

As I mentioned one of the eagles was eating a bird. I don't know what kind it is. Can anyone identify it?

After a half hour or so of eating, one eagle (the one not eating) headed for the nest.

A moment later, the other eagle landed at the nest still carrying the remains of the bird.

The pseudo-macro capabilities of the 100-400 II are very good.

I think this is wild mustard.

This teasel shot was handheld at 560mm and 1/80th of a second. The IS in the 100-400 II is great!
