The outdoor ducks had a bad weather day today, so they weren't working.

I managed to round up some indoor ducks for the 7D2 + 100-400 II initiation.

Think this qualifies?

i have a question.....if any of you guys have owned the 100-400 dust pump.....is the picture quality any better than the dust pump when shooting using the new version 100-400 II?

I hate to be that guy, but did you read any of this thread before asking?

Anyway, the answer is the image quality is very noticeably improved! :)

IMHO, the image quality is rivaling or better than even the 400mm prime!

Yes. Significantly better. Very close to my 300 II prime.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

Posted this in the 7d 2 pic thread but, felt it should be in the lens thread to provide food for thought for those considering this lens
1/500/ 400mm/ 5.6/ is 500

The focus with the TC is till pretty snappy even at f8. This kite came whizzing by me, and I was still able to acquire it, lock focus and get a couple of shots at 560mm. The exposure isn't perfect because I was shooting the train when this guy appeared out of nowhere, but I continue to impressed with the 7D2/100-400II combo.

Some shots today - I don't think my 70-200 is going to get as many clicks as it used to! I find the IS on this lens is far superior to the 70-200 f/2.8 II.
