I understand that the IQ250 has a value added warranty that probably makes the 250 a better deal.... Still.... I've shot the IQ250 and its a lot quicker than the the models with the CCD sensors.....

I bought the IQ180.... Just found a deal on a slightly used one... I'd rather have had the 280 for the wireless... But I can say one thing.... It has amazing image quality.... Mostly outside and if you are shooting things standing still.....

Quality of Phase One will blow away the Nikon 810 or the Canon 5D4.... The full frame sensors in 35mm simply can't match the huge sensors int the Phase One system. The colors are amazing.

On the other hand, its offset by the Phase One 645+ camera body.... Between the back and the body, lets just say they are not really stable or reliable. They kind of work when they want to. They are nothing like shooting Canon or Nikon.... I have not been happy (got a lot to say about that)....

Hope you enjoy it..... Let us know what you think.

So far I am loving the new back.. Glad I saved the extra money as phase backs don't typically need much in terms of warranty repair (my P45+ which was 8 years old never needed to be serviced)

Here's a shot I took with it yesterday:

Here's a great example of the high iso on the back:

Could you share the camera settings on this shot? Thank you.

First three Canon 5Ds. Some lights (some really fancy ones too). Some glass (maybe a few too many but who's keeping track?). Some cool stamps on my passport.

When I was in Germany, a buddy of mine let me work with that giant ... Cambo?
I had a Pentax 6x7 on one side with a 135mm, and the 165mm leaf shutter on the other side on another body.
VERY nice piece of equipment ... BUT, wayyy outta my lil ole budget! :)

very nice site ..

You might get lucky and find a used one at a good price...the Cambo stand that is. That looks to be a 7' UST?. I have a 9' and can't imagine working without it.

I just did a quick search...the 7' is about $2K. Add in a cross arm and base is probably another 700 or so? I bought my 9' in the late 70's for roughly the same amount iirc. FWIW, I've seen Cambos and Foba's on CL from time to time going for a quarter of that and I don't know what they ultimately sell for...probably much less. A friend recently retired and was trying to give away his Saltzman stand...I'm not sure but in the end I think it went to scrap. :-(

When the time comes for me to abandon the studio, I wonder what will happen to my Cambo stand and North Light bank light ? There seems to be very little interest in this type of equipment, and it also seems that most people that have an interest or need already have one. Can't beat either of these for quickly and securely positioning a camera and light from 0 to 9+' off the ground.
