Arizona POTN get together?

I've noticed a few members here in Arizona. We live in one of the best places in the world to shoot, not to mention the great weather. Anyone interested in meeting up for a shoot/chat, Let me know.

I'll probably drag my significant other with me. We usually go out and shoot together.

I don't mind where we go. Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden, Gilbert Water Ranch are a few places I can think of off the top of my head.

FYI: There is a small lake on the SE corner of Price and Queen Creek I stopped at after work last week. You need some long glass, but there is a tree that has a bunch of Great Blue Herons. The babies are pretty big. There were also some Great and Snowy Egrets, Green Heron, Coots, Double Crested Cormorants, mallards and a belted kingfisher. Oh, and lots of bird poop.
Russ took this around 2:30 pm using 500mm with a 1.4x.

I know the exact spot. Near Intel. My Girl friend (we're both 56 years old!) comes along as well. She is not into photography much, but is patient and helps carry gear and hold lenses, She is an experienced traveller and did the last two Africa trips with me to Kenya and Uganda. Let us know and we would love to meet. Next week is off, as her mother died Friday and there are arrangement being made. But any time after that is fine.

My sympathies to your GF for her loss.
I work Mon-Fri at that Inel plant. Except for the next 2 Saturdays, we're free. We appear about the same ages. I'm 46 and Russ is 61. Should we just agree on a date and place and if anyone else wants to they can join us?
