Default Buying from abroad.

A member here has advised me to go to www.onestop-digital.com because they are over £130 cheaper than their british equivalents for the lense I want.

My question to all of you is, have you dealt with the company?, are they any good?, what happens if I have a problem? and has anyone experienced any difficulties with buying from non UK suppliers?

If you are a resident of the states, you need not answer.

I've ordered a couple of lenses from them....no problems, fast delivery, great prices!
Note that you may be charged duty and/or VAT, but I think they refund these charges.

I ordered my Sigma 24-70 EX DG Macro from them and my flash (seperately). both times they were dispatched on a friday and delivered the following monday.
On the lens, fedex sent me an invoice for customs, which onestop digital promptly refunded.
Overall I couldn't be happier, I even convinced my co worker to buy a 20D body and EF 100-400L from them (1600 quid all in) and he too is extremely happy.

I also got a lens and a flash from them with good service, no problems. I would use again without hesitation.

I bought a Macro flash from one stop digital with no problems. If you choose to go for bank transfer payment methond, remember to take off the discount before transfering money for orders over a £100 I think.

I did not have to pay any duty, but if I had, they have on there website a page that you can enter the duty amount you had to pay. You will then be required to send a original/copy of custom receipt and they should refund the duty amount back into your account.

The moment the flash and the other item was posted, it only took a few days. If you do order a few items, they will post each one separately, unless Im odd one out there.

Thanks for all the positive responses. I may well opt for this company if I'm assured that the price I see is the price I pay.
