I just discovered this -just wanted to say how great it is that I can click on a gear list lens in anyone's sig and find images from different people taken with that lens - wonderfully useful when researching gear. This forum is so well designed!
Kudos to Pekka and the team!

Thanks for your kind words.
If you see camera and lens on top of a photo (metadata), those are also links to that item. Also, in galleries camera and lens under each photo are also links to gear list.
About gear galleries
In gear browser http://photography-on-the.net/forum/gearindex.php you have "gallery" links:
Those go to a gallery filtered by that gear or metadata (iso, aperture..).
On each lens and camera page (like http://photography-on-the.net/forum/gearindex.php?id=76) the gallery links go to gallery filtered by that gear item PLUS the lens/camera (i.e. Cameras Top 20) etc. So:
In page http://photography-on-the.net/forum/gearindex.php?id=76 if you click "gallery" next to 5D Mark III (under Cameras Top 20) you get to a gallery
Gallery of Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM
http://photography-on-the.net …ry.php?lens=76&camera=274
If you want to see certain aperture for a lens/camera combination, that works too (if there are images that match the criteria):
Gallery of Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM, aperture 5.6
http://photography-on-the.net …9&camera=274&aperture=5.6
The switches to filter galleries by metadata are (add to end of the URL).
&aperture=x
&iso=x
&shutterspeed=x
&mm=x
Example:
Gallery of Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM, aperture 1.2
http://photography-on-the.net ….php?lens=72&aperture=1.2
Of course, the more filters you add, the less images you get (if any).
Added to all of above, you can then pick any forum in galleries' forum dropdown. Note that the photo count in forum dropdown is "unfiltered count", and the pagination count is correct "filtered count". I'll see if I can make that forum filter count reflect filtering, later.
About gear ratings
If member has done some ratings, summary of them is in page http://photography-on-the.net/forum/member_ratings.php?m=3 (link to that is on a home page under the gear list, if ratings are given).
For overview of all ratings for an item, you have page http://photography-on-the.net …atings_detailed.php?id=69 (link to that is just over the ratings graph on each gear page). On that page, click each rating graph bar to see who rated so.

When we get gear specs done (a big slow job), there will be more of interesting gear stats - virtually anything can be derived from all that data. Work goes on!
