Only echidna Ive ever seen in the wild ...and then it was for less than 5 sec...just enough time to get a shot before it sped back to its burrow....

It's hot! A point not missed by the reptiles, saw many on a bush walk this morning.

I was taking some pics of this Eastern long-necked turtle when the Red-bellied black snake slithered up beside it and swam over to me.

They can certainly move in water. After having red bellied blacks climb onto my kayak for a rest whilst they were crossing North Pine Dam, on two occasions, and having nearly stepped on one at the ramp, the kayak went up on Gumtree Being bumped by a metre long + breeching lungfish sealed it! :-)
