Default First Wedding Under My Belt.

Okay,

Guess I better start pitching in some images around here, been hanging around in the dark corner long enough.

This was my first real wedding gig with digital and I was as nervous as a long tailed cat. Luckily for me a buddy of mine from another forum drove all the way over to help out and lend his moral support.

Anywho... here are just a few of the images. Some will be recieving some more work on them.

Bride with daughter.

That first one is a nice moment captured ... did you add the soft focus effect? I'd like to see it au naturel.

Thanks!

I did do a post process on the soft focus shot. I don't have the unprocessed shot on my page, but here's the shot right before that one...

I'm actually thinking of doing it in B&W .. might be a nice look.

Watch that white balance, now the photo's are a bit all over the place in colors. But nice photo's so with some tweaks they'll be thrilled!!

Thankfully I shot in RAW, so I can get back in there and fix'em up.

Thanks for the comments Petra.

You want a real nightmare... the reception was in an adjoining building, and the interior, walls, ceilings, doors were a dark dark (almost purple) blue.

Kinda made the gymnasium/sancuary(sp) seem pleasant. If you don't count the basketball hoops at both ends.

Yeah .. I can see in your eyes how bad you feel for me.

Here's a shot my buddy/second shooter took .. that shiny head in the chair is me.

And from the pulpit, you can try for a three pointer over the Grooms right shoulder.

Some cool shots there. I remembered reading your post saying you've also got a wedding coming up. Good to hear you didn't pass out from it.
If you shot them all RAW (which I hope you did), it should be easy to make all white balance the same with colour temp settings.

Weddings are scarey for sure. But you did good. Thank God for raw. Some BG colors and mixed lighting can be a real challenge. I did a couple of weddings for friends and they loved the shots and keep sending people to me. Then I have to tell them I don't do weddings!

I think that's what my buddy was going for.

Az2,
Yeah, I learned a long time back that the only way to go is RAW. I tried to talk my buddy into using an established wedding photographer, but he just wouldn't let it go.

Yes i too think a bit of tweaking with white balance and these shots will pop out! I find them to be a bit cold, but it's probably because of that nasty blue wall hahaha - maybe a bit of warm filter through them in PS and they wil be eve better! I liek your close ups of the bride and groom individually!!
The first shot is a gorgeous capture!!

Thanks for the kind words Del.

That first shot was down with a PS plug-in called virtualphotographer.

Here's a link if you want to try it. It isn't for Mac's though.
