This guy is my fourth Setter. Yes they were all very gray at the end... 14, 13 and 12 1/2.

I have more pictures of Kendall as he's getting older. He'll be 2 years old on November 1. I'll post some more later.

How about some more of your girl?

Here she is, all gray faced, sniffing my pool form, wondering what it is probably...

Don't see many of these anymore. My wife and I had one back in the late 70's. Broke down the picket fence one day when the ground was wet, never saw him again.

That's beautiful fun pup i-G12.

The gray face is a trade mark. I wish it didn't happen but it goes with the territory and the breed. They are great dogs with the perfect temperament. Your girl looks great and I bet you couldn't love her more!

Thanks for the comment about Kendall. He's been a great puppy and is great now. I have more pictures of his growing which I will post. Their puppy days are too short but again part of the deal.

People comment all the time how you don't see them much anymore. I think you see lots of them in California but not so much in other areas of the country.

I have a Golden Retriever that's very red; a lot of people mistake him for an Irish Setter. I wish now that when we had the Setter I had been a better owner and put in the time and effort to take care of him. We kept him outside and didn't do much with him :( . We keep our Golden inside, and he's much more a part of the family because of it. But part of that may be all the kids being gone now, so he's our fur-kid, and of course we're more mature now than we were in our early 20's.
