Did a thread for the 35mm figured we may as well get one going for the 45mm! $499 is not a bad price!

Well I will be honest, I bought this lens today for $600 USD from a store and I honestly like it a lot.
Not sure if no one just ever wanted to go down this road but I figured I'd snag one and get the zombie thread going.
Thinking about returning it for the sigma art 50mm but until then I will continue to shoot away

Most of these were wide open or at f2 max.

I'd have to really sit down and focus on the lens but

CA seems to be pretty bad on it but I don't mind much since I do a lot of BnW but also photoshop each image/shoot in raw.

Seems sharp for what you pay. I honestly enjoy the focal length a lot.

I really wanna take it out and test tomorrow but I did some focus testing on them and I can upload in the next post. They came out pretty stinkin solid at 1.8

The pictures below had no clarity boost.

This little lens interests me. The reviews seem to be quite positive. I wonder, then, why there is little action here.

Here’s a couple of shots I took with mine. Sadly I am selling it because I’ve gone to Sony (just bought the lens in May!). In fact I took these shot with the lens on the sony, but focus is slow because of the converter I have to use. This is a great little lens!

This lens is very intriguing, I am surprised there's absolutely no sample content. Reviews are very good and price point is decent.

Well-made, with attractive looks. Relatively light-weight. The focus ring is smooth, with a tactile feel to it. Focus speed is totally acceptable. There is little noise when VC is activated, but very lightly audible.
Looks pretty sharp wide-open. By f/2, the center is very sharp. Vignetting is there at wide apertures, but nothing abnormal.

I am really beginning to love the focal length. 45mm appears somewhat odd, but I am liking the field of view.

I know it’s only been a couple of days, but overall, an excellent lens, especially at its price point. I think it’s a keeper. :-)

Some more testing - while out and about. Only exposure adjusted a bit.
