Smile Wedding 4-3-06

Here's a few of my favorites from yesterday. I'd bet money #1 is going onto a wall. The wedding itself was quite rushed, I only had about 20 minutes to do the "creative" pictures, i'm pleased I got anything at all. #3 still needs work to deal with the brightness on the right.

Edit - and and here's some with the fronts of their faces. I don't like these photos quite so much, and these might not be the best - just what I found with a quick look around.

Came back for another look and got a great chuckle (co-workers looking at me funny now)...

The second shot of the Groom getting a handful is great!

Hmm.. based on the selection you posted, pretty much all of the subjects are centered...

Good point - I did more central composition than usual because it suited the situation. I can crop them any way I feel like, of course.

Here's another, the original is boring and kinda crappy, so I played with it. What do you think? Keep it or ditch it?

Tim,

Great stuff. How many is that now?

I am not sure i care for the last pic technically, but I love the atmosphere, so i reckon it is a keeper!

Thanks Rob! I'm not entirely sure how many i've done, I think it's about 8, but i'm starting to lose count. I have another half dozen already booked and inquiries coming in quite often too

Funny how that happens... I am a few behind you, but similarly, the calendar is filling up slowly but surely. I should have some new portrait/glamour stuff to share soon too in a few weeks.

Keep up the great work mate.

Hopefully i'll have more time to do portrait, glamour, modelling, and just plain fun stuff in winter.

Tonight I got a $300 print order (US$200), and it wasn't even from a bride and groom - it was a member of the extended family who had a little girl in the wedding party! Lots of enlargements in there, plus they made good choices matching photos to print sizes

Great to hear. I have been doing shoots at the local theatre recently at dress rehearsals, and have started getting requests for prints - especially the youth theatre, lots of parents that have seen my work floating around the place and spot a pic of their kid.

As long as we enjoy it i guess... the dollars are just perks (although quite necessary at times).
