It's the name given to the Monday after Thanksgiving in America because of all of the online sales. It's the Internet equivalent to Black Friday which is the day after Thanksgiving and involves sales at brick and mortar stores.

I'm surprised Cyber Monday hasn't caught on in Europe.

Their prices in general are much higher. Probably can't do it with the heavy duties/taxes or whatever that forces some of those areas to sell at really high cost (compared to USA).

Very best,

Very best,

This brings up some interesting questions, (to someone in USA who is not accustomed to dealing on a daily basis with these situations)...

  1. if I purchase a EU manufactured item in multiple counties who are all EU countries, is the Euro price identical in all those countries?
  2. if I purchase an item manufactured in Japan in multiple counties who are all EU countries, is the Euro price identical in all those countries, or do tariffs make the pricing different in different EU countries?
  3. if I purchase an item manufactured in Japan in and EU country and in a non-EU currency country, is the price (when converted to a single currency) identical in all those countries, or do tariffs make the pricing different?

Amazon has 15% off "Amazon Warehouse Deals" (their open box / returned stuff). Picked up a Godox 300WS strobe for $50 to play with and a few other cheap odds and ends. http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=10158976011 (external link)

Wilt - # 1&2 - There has been a lot of work done to create a unified market across all euro-zone countries. There are exceptions but for the most part it is working. Particularly among products distributed by large enterprises like those that exist in tech, retail clothing, etc. Prices are pretty much the same. # 3 - The price may vary as the EU operates under it's own economic policy which is obviously different from other non-EU countries.

Not much going on from what I've seen. At least nothing new. It seems Black Friday deals have just been extended in most cases, as I expected.
