TTL, Portable, Lots of Power, Able to split head and battery if you want to - now we're talking! For me maybe it's this over the Phottix Indra 500.

Good to see that developments done in the past by Cheetahstand/Scott are used in this new flash. Now we can expect an usable ringflash.

Is this the same as the Rovelight 600?

Probably not. If it has TTL type tech onboard, it's very likely to be offering true Pulsing type HSS as well - unlike the Rovelight/Jinbie.
Price may match Interfit's S1 - maybe?

Arrgh! It looks like another one-of-a-kind, proprietary modifier mounting system. I could be wrong and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is a Bowens "S-type" mount but, it just looks different and there is no mention that I can find.

Why oh why Godox do you continue to insist on only 3 Slave Group capability in your 2.4G flashes when your 2.4G X1 has the capability of 5 Slave Group control? Do you and Phottix share the same research and development team?

Edit: There has been new information released since I posted this and now I know that there is a Bowens mount version, and the product information has been updated to show 5 Slave Groups for the 2.4G wireless system.

Can't wait to see reviews on this. Was heavily interested in the Indra but this has me thinking differently.

It is a proprietary mounting system and it is not that big so a converter to Bowens would be possible without adding height. The softboxes and reflectors by Godox are consumer friendly priced however dragging two types of reflectors with me having the AD360 and AD600 is not nice.

The bulb feet are more apart to allow the LED emit light through it and as result of this the mounting size has changed.

Adding adapter could make the strobe head light spread narrower.
Lets hope its a Bowens mount.
Or we can hack it and reolace with diy bowens mount :)

I got info from the Godox dealer that Godox will release 4 version :
- Godox mount, manual only
- Godox mount, manual & ttl
- Bowens mount, manual only
- Bowens mount, manual & ttl

But let's wait for the official news from Godox

D is the correct answer, let's hope it is true. Just wonder what the HSS thermal protection limit is going to be?

Yes, if you watch the promo video until the end (4.58) you can see the four models listed. (Thanks for sharing!)

How have you been able to confirm it is using a proprietary mounting system? It's just that Elv at Flash Havoc hasn't yet been told what sort of mount it's using. And the photos of both the handheld unit and the strobe seem to hide the mounting system rather well.

Agree, though, that having multiple mounting systems would stink.

It is visible on the picture were the gloved hand is changing the flash bulb.

I can't watch the video on my tablet so I will have a look if I can watch it on my PC later.

update: also on my PC it is not watch-able despite enabling Flash.

It took quite a number of tries on my Mac, but I was finally able to watch the video. Hang in there. It's actually quite helpful, although there are no real surprises. :-)

I'm also glad you were looking at the same thing I was. That's the specific image that caught my eye! Due to the angle, however, I couldn't be completely certain what it was — whether it was proprietary or if in fact it might be a Bowens mount.

If it is proprietary, that might actually help simplify production, while boosting sales if optional mounting hardware is available.
