So I just received my Cheetah Bowen low profile speedring but it doesn't fit my AB Octabox. The regular bowen mount I had on it fit with no issue but this one is to big. Any ideas?

Did you buy the AB sized one? Cheetahstand offers 3 diameters

That sounds like a much easier solution :-)

I didn't see that option until today.

There are three diameters of low profile adapter available from Cheetah.
Make sure you have the one that is smallest. I incorrectly ordered the one that is about 1/3 inch too big.
Had to return it and get the proper diameter. It fits perfectly and works like a charm.

It may be necessary to replace the thumb screws with regular machine screws. For me they interfered with the light so the adapter wouldn't seat in the bowens mount.

To be clear, the Balcar speedring insert standard (used by Buff lights) has an OD of 5 1/2".

I ordered the Alien Bee Bowen mount today so hopefully it's all good from here.

I assume I can use any of the 3 following items to trigger an AD600 and an AD600 PRO simultaneously:

- R2 controller
- Pro R2 Controller
- Godox Speedlight

Can anyone verify?

Correct, just make sure the Godox speedlight can transmit the R2 signal; TT350, TT685, V860II..etc

Instead of getting an AD600 pro as a second light (already have one AD600) I did the smart thing and bought an AD600 non-ttl, a V860II, Pro trigger, got another free R2 controller, and like 5 modifiers all for about the price of the one AD600 Pro.

Sounds good. I'm debating the Pro or, like you, a second XplorAmateur along with the bitube extension head ;)

These lights are great. All work perfectly and look great within 4 minutes out of the box. Simply insane.

Yep, I knew it would fit, but what does the light look like on the AD600 compared to the light cast by the 7-inch reflector?

Is there an affordable Godox receiver / transceiver that could be used with the R2 system using non-Godox lights? I have the XPro trigger that I use with AD600, but my other strobes are different brand and sometimes I want to add more lights to a setup.
