What photography related gifts are you asking for this Christmas?

Or which gifts do you plan to give?

For myself, I'm asking Santa for a Sony RX100IV camera. :-)

None, this year has been pretty hard on me, I refuse to use credit to buy things I don't really need.

Wha???!!?!?! Credit cards EXIST so you can buy things you don't need. Especially things you can't afford that you don't need. I can't afford, and certainly don't need, a Rokinon 12mm FE. That ain't stoppin' me from buying one.

I love the Rokinon brand lenses. I have the 35mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 14mm f/2.8. I use them more than any other lens I own.

I just sold my 14mm Rok yesterday. Ordered (through SC) the 12mm FE today. I like the quality and IQ of Rokinon lenses. I just don't see well enough anymore to focus the longer ones. At 12 or 14mm focus is irrelevant, for the most part. Can't wait to get my 12FE! Santa is coming early and he's driving a big brown truck.

At times I have issues focusing the 85mm using apertures closer to f/1.4 but using Magic Lantern hack definitely helps.

I'm probably getting nuthin' for Christmas, but that's ok. I just got myself a 7D II + 70-200 2.8 IS II for my birthday a little over a week ago. :-D

A new 100-400 II or 24-70 II would be nice tho, just in case Santa is listening!

Let me tell you what Santa brought me many years ago...

I was a skinny 13 yo who wanted a stereo system for Christmas. I saw it at Sears - AM/FM radio, record player, and big speakers.
I wanted that sooooo bad! I placed it at the top of my Christmas list and talked about it endlessly to my parents.

On Christmas morning our family began to open our presents. I spotted one large gift that was for me. It was heavy, too.
That had to be my stereo system! I saved that gift for the very last.

I began to tear off the wrapping from my last gift. My dad looked at me with a smile on his face. This is gonna be great, I thought!

With the wrapping paper removed what did I find? A 50 lb barbell set

Here's the Christmas present I bought for my sister. I got the configuration on the right. I think it's over priced, but WTH (What the Heck) :-)
