I'll start with a few

Those look good. I've read some less than complimentary reviews of that lens and so have never picked one up. Owning the 120-300 also contributed I guess. I would love one of the new PF primes though.

I don't have it long, but my initial impression is that its excellent. I bought it second hand for 400 Euro, happy :)

How are your getting on without the VR?
I have the 70-300m, and out at 300 really appreciate having that facility?

another one with the 300 f/4 without VR. Nice thing about this lens is it is able to focus up close.

Liking it - Alot, whats the slowest without getting to much shake induced blur, you could hand hold the original non afs version? Im thinking and thinking about getting one with a D7100 if I can afford the price, it sounds like a great option for my aircraft photography.
