I tried to find a thread to put these in, but no luck. Maybe bad search methods. I would love to see what others can come up with. I'm a rookie at this technique but I'm loving it. I'm exposing for the background first, then blending a few extra for the cars. Here are two the I have done. C/C always welcome and please share yours.

How new are you to light painting. These look great, especially if you have only done a few of them before. I'm not aware of a light painting share thread but there are a few strobist threads, one for set-up pics and one for those without set-up pics.

I'll share my very first ones I have taken.

Sweet Mustang and cool shots. Those wheels are awesome. The camaro was the first time I light painted a car at least about two weeks ago. Then did the Mustang this past past Monday. I tried some shots with speed lights before and had alot of hot spots.

Appreciate it. Yeah I had just gotten the wheels so I was anxious to shoot. Didn't even clean the car for the third shot. Lol. I had to use my phone for lighting so that's why they are all taken in my garage.

My speedlight broke so I plan to get one again sometime soon.

No problem, thank you btw! The wheels and ride height are on point. Looks good for phone lighting. A flash light and a softbox go a long way, just saying.

A cheap, cowboy studios 30 inch octabox w/grid and a Surefire style flashlight.

I like it, sweet ride! This is the style of light I used. http://streamlight.com ...duct/product.html?pid=254 (external link) Really bright tactical style. Depending on what light modifier you use the clip can come in handy. But any kind of light and a softbox or modifier of some kind, seems to work pretty well, other than direct light.
