Really nothing interesting.. These were just some test shots around our neighborhood. I don't have it anymore because it was returned back.. but still thought I would share some images here.

What was the reason you returned it? Interested in this one myself

After owning other Batis lenses, it was a no brainer to compliment them with this native ultrawide addition. However I quickly realized I wouldn't be using it as much as I would've liked. The native AF is fast and nice but I wouldn't really be using it at f2.8 so decided my Canon 16-35 f4 would be enough. I figured it'd be simpler to just return back rather than selling it at a loss later.

There is a good comparison thread at FM between the Loxia 21 and Batis 18, and I can confirm all of Fred's findings are very accurate. I would love to try the L21 (because it is supposedly more appealing to many others than B18) but not so interested in that FL. I'd be very interested in Loxia 15 if they ever make them.

It is a very well built lightweight native ultrawide lens and has great performance. It is very sharp wide open but not so in the extreme corners. If I had to stop down to get sharper extreme corners, I just thought C16-35 would be good enough.

Please take my words with grain of salt, as my experience was rather limited. Sorry couldn't be much help Eddie.

Good info there thanks, I've got the other two Batis lenses and the canon 16-35 so need to be asking myself do I really need the B18 or not

I took a load of photos testing for decentering but apart from that this was my first day out with it. Is that odd or something?

Maybe a couple of steps to the left, have the rocks leading into the top left third where BEM should be sat ;) The sky is amazing.
