I've been wanting to get into drone photography for a few months now. Obviously the learning curve is steep, so I thought I'd start a dedicated thread for current and potential drone photographers to share their knowledge, tips, photos, videos, etc.

      | Jun 23, 2016 16:50 | #2 I wouldn't call it a steep learning curve at all. I watched a 5 minute video on youtube on how to control it, and that is it. Drones are incredibly easy to use. If you suck at making those pixels jump on the TV screen it might take a little more practice before sending the drone through the forest. DJI has a simulator program to help get one started. And the Phantom 4 is an excellent beginner's drone. If I wasn't using the Phantom 4 there are two occasions where I would have lost mine from running into unseen tree limbs above waterfalls. ![]() ![]() ![]() First time flying the drone I took this panorama from my back yard IMAGE LINK: https://poindexter.smugmug.com …ermont-Winter/i-h9mbf8x/A ![]() Third time out with the drone....did some ballsy stuff with it shooting waterfalls: https://youtu.be/Qgn08Io7jrM ![]()
