It's not small that's for sure. lol It actually feels balanced with the grip on my A7II. First few shots are very sharp. I would say it's as good as 24-70II. AF is snappy on the A7II but not as fast as 24-70II on the 5D3. The zoom and MF rings feels super nice. Built quality is what you would expect from a $2200 lens.

I got mine Friday night. The lens feels smaller and lighter than the Canon 24-105 f4L and Metabones IV. I can't hear it focusing.

I had difficulty with the iris not opening while focusing with the 24-70 2.8GM. Setting Effect ON/OFF toggle setting has no effect.
I couldn't focus accurately in dimly lit studio situation when shooting at f11. The iris stays closed while focusing and had a difficult time focusing.

My solution was to open up the iris, focus and close down to f11 and shoot. However the view finder was too dark to compose properly. I hope this is fixed with a firmware update. As it stands now the 24-70 2.8GM is difficult to use in typical studio lighting situations.

Congrats, rcarlton! Very nice pics as well. Was busy with my kiddos this weekend so didn't get a chance to shoot. I hope to contribute some images soon.

if you are early adaptor, there are reports that there is a problem with weather sealing gaskets on this lens, if you send it in, Sony is replacing the gaskets with better one that won't compromise weather sealing.

Info per Sony Alpha Rumors.

First couple shots with the lens. Pretty impressed so far. At least as good as the Canon, but AF is MUCH better. I want one now.....

that some excellent graffiti, is that some type of art show? or just street art?

It's some street art in Eastern downtown Houston (EADO). I think its commissioned street art, but its in an up and coming, but still sketchy part of town.
