Great shot ... I'd be so tempted to have a go at Photoshopping out the distracting noticeboard and trolley (or whatever it actually is) at the door to castle. It is absolutely the only intrusive element in the capture.

David.
Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

Thanks very much :-)

I'd not even noticed it as I was just so pleased to get some good images from the new camera and lens

When did you take it? I am going to go to Ireland next month and I'm planning to visit Cashel so I'm bit disappointed to see scaffolding around the Rock.

Hey I just looked this place up.. My wife is very skeptical & doesn't want to send off 570,000 N$ per night. That's only 2,700 Aud, for the whole castle! BARGAIN!

Sorry poor posting! This is in relation to Kajuru Castle in northern Nigeria.. A post some time ago!.

YOU HAVE UNLEASED A MONSTER! ;-)a

It turns out I have several pics of castles from around about the place. Mainly UK, but some in Europe.

This my take on Eilean Dohnan. It was a very bleak day when we were there.

Gravenstein, the Castle of the Counts. As in all Euro Castles, the history is not all clean & rosy!
Seemingly the Count of the day had to give shelter to all the Councilors to protect them from the rabble!

This is a 6 frame stitch, but then cut down to the current size,
