If you correct the / \ perspective (especially on the right so: | \) on the second one, then it's a keeper! Great nightshot.

the perspective is correct, I was on the Eades bridge walkway, it has an outcropping you can stand on that is about 50 feet above the Mississippi river and puts you off at an angle.

It does give the image a bit of a heavy feel on one side, but I really like it as it sits, but I might play with changing it.

Thanks

Interesting shots Krash. Do you use a different lens or a filter in the second one as the lights are all starred?

Nope, same lens, just difference in the weather - Foggy and Misty - no filters, just some basic tweaks and cleaning up in Photoshop.

Interesting. I presume that the first one was the foggy/misty shot then?

Actually the first one was a misty evening, no low lying fog, just damp and the second was a very foggy night in the low lying areas. The river front was not as foggy as I had hoped, if I could have standed to freeze for another hour or so I would have gotten the fog I wanted.

The first one was also a hand held shot, the second I had my tripod with me and it was shot at a slightly different angle. I was on the Metrolink platform, which put me farther away and about 10 feet lower.

Very pretty, I was driving a truck years ago. I was able to see the arch, in the daylight, as I drove by. I have never see the arch at night untill now.
Thank you for sharing...

The fact that the first shot was hand-held would explain why the star highlights on the lights was missing then. Impressive hand-held capture.
