Hi,
I am looking at purchasing one of these, and was wondering if anyone has any sample pics. I have done a search and couldn't find much. Any pics and comments are appreciated. Rob

On pbase.com you can search by camera, and I think by lens.

Google also works....some eamples...
http://www.prime-junta.net/pont/Revi..._f4.5-5.6.html http://www.pbase.com/dhatchner/sigma...s_canon_1740_l http://www.pbase.com/benhua/lens_test http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/len...4556/index.htm I have the 12-24. It is not what one would call a great lens, but on a 5D it does things few other lense can...and there is little if any distortion. Personally, if you think you are going to spend a bit of time on 1.6 crop cameras, I would consider the Canon 10-22....it is great...had it on my 20D...only reason it is not an 'L' lens is the EF-S mount. I have some test shots, mostly at 12mm with the Sigma lens.
http://www.pbase.com/rodneycyr/12_24_sigma The gallery includes two shots I took with my "poor man's 5D", an Elan IIe and Kodacolor 200 film, scanned. Unfurtunately the scans were only about 1.5 megapixels. The lens is far from perfect but produces good results within its limitations. I have had a lot of fun with it. |
