the spruce-fir forest on Clingmans Dome, cold enough that ice crystals were condensing out of the air on the needles of the evergreens

Thanks Stiga, this was about 11:30pm. I couldn’t see it in the sky at home (clydebank) but once I got it the darker skies at Loch Lomond you could see the green

Very good use of shutter speed and exposure control to photograph this scene here. I like this stream of flowing water, it add more dynamic into this scene. Very good sharpness, clarity and DoF. This is an excellent photo, very well done and composed.
