Thanks for that! Something to think on further.
Gotta look for an appropriate silicone band though to resist the high temperatures. I've seen some YouTube vids on DIY options but no one mentions WHERE they got the silicone bands...
I've been using SB800s as my off camera lighting and am really looking forward to some improved lighting with the AD200.
Especially since now I can (hopefully) start doing some off camera HSS lighting.
I have been reading through this entire thread and hate to circle back to a prior topic but am going to anyway
I've been using a cheap pop up 24" softbox as my main light modifier for individual and couples.
I usually use the softbox as a single light, balanced with ambient for fill.
I'm looking at getting something better.
I saw a recommendation for the Cheetah QBox24 - http://www.cheetahstand.com/Cheetah-QBox-24-Pro-p/q24.htm but the bracket looks like the same one I have now on my cheaper softbox. I like the sturdier option of the Godox/Adorama S bracket which looks to be the same as the one included with this softbox:
What are your thoughts on this one?
I like the fact that it comes with a grid since I seem to struggle with too much light on the ground or background around the subject.
I have some questions on this type of modifier though:
1. Will this size be appropriate for individual AND couples?
2. Should I use the fresnel head or would bare bulb be better?
3. If bare bulb, should I add the metal plate from this around the bulb? - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F15W3B8/
If I'm using an umbrella or Paul C Buff PLM, is it better to use the fresnel head or bare bulb?
I've read that the fresnel head doesn't really give an even distribution of light when used with an umbrella...thoughts?
If I use bare bulb, would I need to add this?

Or, is this better?

I'm excited to improve my lighting but getting a bit overwhelmed on options
Thoughts and suggestions appreciated
