Nice catch! I see them every once and awhile but they have always been in the water or tall grass. To catch one out in the open is quite fortuitous!

That would be odd to see one out like that.

Congrats. BTW the next time you are in FL. check out the west regional wastewater treatment marsh in Vero- just east of I-95. I see otters there every time I go. Also lots of birds to shoot

Congratulations, is it quite difficult to find them in the US?
Here in the UK it is difficult unless you go a Scottish Island - and even they are not that easy. Yell is meant to be easiest but it is a long way from everywhere. (10 hours drive, 13 hours ferry and then another 30 minutes drive and another 40 minute ferry from London)

Viera is a different place, Merritt Island Refuge and Black Point Wild Life Drive is AMAZING for wading/herons/egrets and the like.

If you see me with a wrench - call 911. 5d3, T3i, 17-55 2.8, 50 1.8, 70-200 2.8 L II, 24-105 f4. YN 565, Precision Lupe attached to hacked extended eyecup (no sticky frame) - old enough to have owned an original F-1
