I saw a 70-200 2.8 IS sell for $1500 used on E-bay. B & H sells them for that price what gives. Thats is what I call resale!

70-200 2.8 IS $1699.00 from B&H, depending on the true condition of that lens from Ebay it could be a deal, saving $200.00

I am sorry it is 1599.95 if you use the psjan discount.
For $100 I don't think it is worth the risk and lack of warranty.

I usually don't count coupon discounts, because 1. Not everyone knows about them and 2. They don't last forever. But yes I agree IF you know and use the PJSAN discount then the $100.00 isn't worth it to me either.

On the positive side: you can buy an L then afterwards sell it for about the same amount (sometimes even more, looking in your direction 200mm f/1.8!). So you basically rent the lens almost for free.
