I am in Peoria, Illinois, put 2 feeders out 4/15 but have not seen any visits. Anyone in Midwest having different luck? Just curious.

Thanks!

May first has been the target date for a long time, but last year, they were about 2 weeks earlier. Thought with the warmer winter this year, early might be the case again. Oh well, ought to be any day now.
Thanks for the link, Don.

I'm in Maryland and my first hummer of the season just showed up tonight. I've had my feeders out for a couple of weeks.

Rog, I saw my first one this morning. Had a feeder out and he sure used it too. It has been a miserable cold and rainy day here so having feed out probably will help them feel better fast. You should start seeing them soon there in Peoria.

Which is now yesterday. So, what have you seen?

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Nada, zip, nothing! But have been on the go more than here lately and a lot of rainy weather. So...Someday, soon.ߘ

Rog I still only have the one male here, he sits most of the day in a bush near the feeder enduring this cold rain, every few minutes he flies up for a drink then returns to his perch. When more show up the fight will be on and can't say that I blame him since he got here early he should own the place. If the rain stops I'm going after him with my Canon.

Like your last comment.:-)

We too, are in flood conditions; road closures, basements flooded, etc. And 80% today! But we are good.

As for the hummingbirds, still no sightings. Saturday, the wind was so ugly, hardly anything was flying. If I was a hummer, I'd just sit tight for now. Thursday the weather is supposed to turn. This is almost as bad as being snowed in-actually, my wife made a big pot of chili Saturday! ;-)a

Ok, enough whining-have a great day!:-D

Ah, received a wee birthday present today-saw my first hummer, albeit briefly. Spotted a male Ruby-throat as he was leaving my feeder. Never saw a return.

Also had a Hairy WP visit. A good day.:-)
