Looks very nice! I have been trying out taking some shots of my 2 week old and I now have a lot of respect for those who make it look easy!

2 weeks might be too late for posed sleeping baby. We try to set the appt for 8-10 days. Once they start to stretch out their arms and legs it's almost impossible to get them to hold those adorable poses.

Warm room, white noise 'womb bear' on, feed and then place in pose you want and then hold the baby until it calms. Soft gentle rub on the forehead extending up from the bridge of the nose soothes some babies.

I think they all look pretty good and I don't mind the difference in editing. I am a natural light photographer so over the course of an hour, my lighting changes quite a bit..... our human eyes adjust for it but our cameras pick up the discrepancies. I forewarn parents that some of the lighting differences will show so just appreciate each picture on its own and don't compare.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

2 weeks is not too old. A lot of people go by this 6-10 days but I find that more of my 6-7 day old babies are super cranky and the older ones are just sleepy. If you're good at wrapping or use a simple swaddler a 2 week old can be a dream. I just did a really nice newborn session with a 4 week old.

I know it's the rule but I've found it to be untrue a lot of times.

I just did a 24 day old newborn session myself & he was a perfect baby to pose. it really just depends on the baby but most of the time I can get my way with any of them :-P
