wow! that shot blew it away

:P

Haha, well it was the most exciting thing that happened that day :(

Here's one from s.Dakota on the way west. Now I know where sunflower seeds come from (I probably
eat a 1/2 pound a week)...my favorite nut is a seed!

Thanks Rantercsr. Single shot, cropped in post. No need to do pano, that single shot got the window in the extremely dark sky. It was quite distant.

The butterfly really shows what skilled hands can do with that 135mm. Just a wonderful composition.

Thanks. :) I wish I was any good at it. The Batis has a not-great MFD so I got as close as I could and cropped the hell out of it in Lightroom.

David, nice images from the Batis 135. All of them have a unique signature to them.

You got me to google Brasstown and how far for a weekend trip someday! I've hiked out of Springer Mtn on the AT several times but never made it over to Brasstown.

It's a great location to lookout over the mountain ranges across several states. I removed the image since I wasn't 100% happy with it.

Thanks Alfredo. I got really fed up with the shingles and took my Batis 135mm and did a little shooting today. Still feel terrible, but getting out didn't make me feel worse, so it was really wonderful just to shoot the camera again.

I love the Batis, but I'll constantly be asking myself, "would I prefer owning an a6500 to dedicate to my 100-400mm even more?" Or how about the CV 15 and 65? So, it was nice to give the Batis a lot of work so I can work out my preferences. Next outing needs to be with just the 100-400, so I can think more about an a6500. Mark Galer's review has me intrigued about using the lens for some action photography - and that might grow me as a photographer (I suck at AF with moving subjects).
