There were many challenges for me in this famous Grand Hall where the King of Northumberland lived in the Middle Ages. (a) There were many tourists wandering around, (b) I had no tripod, (c) I had to take 4 bracketed sets in order to get everything in.

I used Photomatix 6.0.1 in an effort to eliminate ghosts but it did not work because of poor foreground lighting. So I had to remove them the old-fashioned way with the clone stamp tool Sorry about the image quality, it's not as good as I would like.

BTW, the object in the last shot is called a palanquin!

Agreed but he was too big to eliminate neatly. (Other figures have been cloned out successfully.)
