Time spent on retrieving content: Unknown. Lots.
16 folders/subfolders left to go.
Some of that won't make it back to my computer, as it was superfluous.
Fortunately, my secondary account isn't nearly as loaded with content.
That should be a much shorter ordeal.
Photobucket has GOT to be telling themselves by now that they're in the doghouse,
or they're setting up for a completely different venue which doesn't involve
people sharing out photos or even being account-holders.
It wouldn't surprise me if I start seeing some of my photos in advertising, or pimped
out to any number of other websites.
Something more than a change in advertising sources is going on, I'm fairly sure,
but I'll be damned if I know what it is. I'm reminded of a time years ago when
a radio station did something similar. They broadcast an announcement for days,
saying nothing more than "It's coming!." They then broadcast a 48-hour period
of everything, to include hard rock, jazz, easy listening, doo-wop, elevator music,
show tunes, movie soundtracks, talk, opera, punk, acid rock, grunge, folk, etc...
The so-called 'huge' revelation at the end of it all was to announce their change
from an album-rock format to country music, which dumped their listenership
and ratings into the toilet bowl. This change with Photobucket feels eerily similar to me.
