It's a lovely scene, but I think it needs a 2 to 3 degree rotate to the right (clockwise) and a boost in clarity of about 40-50 (if you are using Lightroom).

I like it but looked for a human or other animal.

Look a little closer then ... there is one. Although, for myself, I'm not so bothered either way.

i like it...if anything it's a little hot at the top...sometimes what i do with waterfalls is bracket exposures, and then blend in on some of the hot spots with a darker exposure to show more of the flow of the water...but i feel like even that is nitpicking...it looks good

Its a very nice shot but agree about the rotation. For me it's also cropped to tight at the top and bottom which would give the scene a little more dynamics or depth if you like. Could have benefited from a vertical Pano to include more of the surroundings.

To get the verticals right, I'd work off the fence posts. There's very little adjustment needed.

The trees would be a better guide.

Either way, it needs a bit of 'averaging out'. I had a play around just for fun. Plus 1.3 degrees is about right, I think.

This. I think it would have made a fantastic vertical panoramic shot ... from the top of the trees down to somewhere twenty or thirty metres further into the foreground.

This appears to be a crop of a 17mm wide angle so using trees or fence posts as a guide is a bit problematic unless you also correct for lens distortion. I think just giving it a rotate until it feels right would work just as well.

But does it really? The water has forward momentum, which is should retain, before beginning to fall.

Absolutely ... which is where the fence posts come in handy for alignment purposes. If you look at the alignment of the fence posts in the vicinity of the water fall, you can clearly see that it is not the same (taking one post with another) as the fall which is still clearly a little bit off the vertical.

An overall adjustment of +1.3 degrees is about right to align the trees and posts as a whole in an averagely vertical alignment, although it's not completely uniform across the image. That also leaves the waterfall carrying its momentum and slightly off vertical ... and it looks about right to the eye in combination.

If you try to align the waterfall to a complete (false) vertical, you will end up with both trees and fence posts leaning clearly to the right.
