I have three Canon DSLR cameras, 7D and 7D2 crop formats and 5D2 full frame.

I use a 7D2 and a 7D with 17-55mm f/2.8 IS and 70-200mm f/4L IS lenses for general and travel photography. I also carry the 1.4X TC III on my travels to increase the telephoto lens to 98-280mm. IQ is very good to excellent and I can focus with all focus points.

I use a 5D2 with the 70-200mm f/4L IS lens for portraits of both people and my dogs.

Finally for venues in which I need telephoto lenses, (sports, wildlife, airshows, etc) I use the 7D2 with the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens and the 5D2 with 70-200mm f/4L IS lens which gives me an equivalent 70-200mm and 160-640mm range. Ad my 1.4x TC to the longer lens and I get a far longer focal range 224-896mm.

All these combinations give me excellent image quality - even with the 1.4x TC III. I can achieve auto focus using the center spot focus with the 7D2 and 100=400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens.

I am quite content with the 7D2 but, would like a 5D3 or 5D4...

Previously it was a T5i and SL2 along with the 18-55, 55-250, and 10-22. I would haul all that crap with me on my camping adventures. I now have a Pentax K-5 and is is pretty cool, especially the sturdy build and weather sealing, but I will probably try to swap it out for another T5i soon. I like being able to share lenses and batteries.

T5i. Standard Canon zoom. Big Canon zoom. Wide Canon zoom. Plasticy Canon prime. Sony a6000 and a bunch of crappy old lenses plus a Samyang 12mm 2.0. Pentax K-5. Manfrotto tripod and head.

I am lucky enough to have a 1DX MK2 and a gripped 5D3 but I'd need to spend more time in the gym to carry both around together! I mainly use the 1DX MK2.

Put your second body on the spider holster on your hip. This makes life tolerable when shooting with a 1D series. I really enjoy using the optech pro neoprene strap on my neck. It makes a difference for weight distribution on the neck.

Current for sport is 1d mk3 with 300 f2.8 and 6d with 70-200 f2.8
Dream would be a pair of 1dx mk2s with 200 f2 and 400 f2.8

I like what i have - D810 and D750. I use mostly primes so I usually have both of them if i cove events or shows. For studio work 810 does ok but i just have to get my Phase One (maybe new camera/lens with a used IQ2 back to start with). I tried D500 in a past and if i did weddings or wildlife i would add that to my bag.

I currently use a 5d mark 3 and 4. which ever focal lenght is priority goes on to the mark 4 and the opposite (Wider or telephoto) goes on the mark 3. I have found the mark 4 just a great improvement on the mark 3 in every aspect, and because the button layout is so similar the transition between the two is seemless.
for a dream setup, I am split between the speed of the 1dx2 and the resolution in the Nikon D850 (which is, lets be honest, a very feature rich camera body)

my combo exactly

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Since doing PJ work in the early 70s, I've always carried identical bodies. I have more than one format of camera, but when I go out to work, I always have identical bodies.

5DIII for portraits landscapes, some everyday stuff

7DII for wildlife where i need reach, fast moving stuff

I like that both have more or less identical ergonomics and overall both cameras can do the job in most areas if one stuffs up. I like them both
