With the release of the Nikon 850, I had brief camera envy compared to the 5D mark4. For the first time I contemplated changing brands. The 850 looks like a hell of a camera. Sanity prevailed and realised the 5d4 is a beautiful camera and another camera is not going to make me any better and the differences for what I do is not going give me any extra.
Anyway... the point of the post was, for the first time I checked out the cost of Nikon Lenses. I was shocked that they were quite a bit more expensive. I am looking in Australia but it seem that they are 20-25% dearer than canon equivalents with your mainstays like the 24-70 and the 70-200. I can't imagine they would be better. It struck me as a major consideration if you were to change to another brand like Nikon. The lens differential in cost seems to be quite substantial.
