I put in my reply on the other thread about having to put my thinking cap on for today's challenge :) well how about a variation of thinking cap and expand it to head wear ,work hats, leisure hats ,uniform ,fancy dress .warm weather ,freezing weather ,underwater --
Lets try to picture some sort -anysort of headgear in use ,in storage ,old ,worn out ,loved ,hated.

Well back again and i have changed my mind for various reasons quite a few times BUT
1st Place STIGA A hat in the outside in a situation i so enjoy ,sun and scenery -Well done

2nd Place TEEKAY ,even though i couldn't see the photo at first when i did i burst out laughing -- so grateful i don't live anywhere that cold to need it LOL

3rd place Jims - A lot of history there ,any idea of it's tales and history?
I did like the others ,believe me they all swapped places as i could see different things, the hat left alone who would have left behind and the beautiful coloured hat with a lovely young lady.We have a friend that makes hats and fascinators ,what a skill so i could see the work and colours in that.

Take it away Stiga

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to Trumper for hosting the hat parade. Each image had something special going for it.

Congratulations to Stiga (Martin) and Teekay; and thanks for the third place nod Trumper. I had dozens of entries for this week as my wife often accuses me of being a hat hoarder :p. This was a fun contest and well judged. I loved all the entries.

I really liked Martin’s entry...what a wonderful location for a walk!

My hat was found in an antique store in Wyoming when I was stationed there in the late 70’s. I have always collected miliaria. The hat was made by Stetson and was worn by a member of the U.S. Wyoming Volunteers during the Spanish-American War. I keep it on my roll top desk along with my cavalry saber, Colt revolver, and the bugle I posed with the hat...makes for a nice display.

Here is an example of soldiers wearing the same hat :-)

Congratulations to Stiga and thanks for the #2 spot, Trumper although I thought Jim's Stetson would take it away this week.

My entry was really a joke - we don't wrap up and wear two hats at once like that in Canada (at least not often);-)a

Congrats to the winners! No criticism but I was disappointed not to see anyone wearing a hat. To me, the hat takes on a new character when photographed on a person rather than on a table.

Thanks for the challenge this week, Trumper
