This is a lens I pretty much never hear or see anything about here on the forums. So much so that I resisted picking one up for a long time. Much like with my XF 18mm, I'm kinda mad I waited so long!
Anybody on the fence about this one... just get it. Especially for how cheap it is (mine was mint condition for $300), it's a fantastic little lens... and I mean little, the thing is barely longer than the 35/1.4 and weighs about the same. It can even use the same hood, just like the 18mm
I've only had this thing a short time, but it's one of those lens that I honestly have a hard time picking "throw away" shots from.
I'm now an owner of Fuji's original trinity and I'd honestly be content with them as my only lenses if I had to be... but, the GAS is real
So again... should you buy this lens if you want a general use, light weight, carry in your bag everyday lens?
(I didn't setup that shot for this thread, but couldn't resist using it). I might remove the reflection from her glasses in this one eventually... I love my little EF-X8, but glasses reflections are a huge downside of on-camera flash [IMAGE'S LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Z1Cn87]DSCF0402.jpg by Lucas, on Flickr [IMAGE'S LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Z1Csi7]DSCF0406.jpg by Lucas, on Flickr
